you guys need to pull your collective head out of your collective ass. valve isn't saying "this is the future and you can all blow us if you don't have the proper equipment." they're saying "check this out: for those of you who happen to have jobs and can afford decent hardware we're throwing in this nifty new lighting feature absolutely FREE!" the way you guys are bitching is like ordering a pizza, and then telling the pizza guy to fuck off because he gives you an extra slice you know you won't be able to stomach. idiots.

at first, i was like mmm the one on the right looks a bit dark and dull, so its lighter now? then i realised i had it the wrong wayaround...



cant say i noticed anything different there. i suppose its free but its nothing to orgasm about, i think something to orgasm about is that:



'transparency supersampling' where thin things also get smoothed off, sick of running towards a fence and watching it go all weird, all the jagged lines moving around

They probably made the graphics for the left side crappier on purpose, just to make the right side even better in comparison.



Whatever, I wont be able to use it, but it's kinda cool either way. Not really an excuse to leave CS:S the way it is though.
