CS-Evolution has recently put together a guide for de_inferno that was added to Counter-Strike: Source a couple of weeks back. The guide features a brief overview of some of the changes made to the layout of the map as well as a number of jumps and hiding spots that will give a player the advantage of surprise.

The changes were for the better. So they took out the sniper pirch? They added a sniper window then with a better line of site.
BS. Worst map conversion EVER. Why did they have to change so much?
They added pillars to the left hallway? More cover and less of a sniper fest.
The rest is the same fundemental layout.
And for every new map that's released, it's amazing how many times it's the "worst conversion EVER." Just because it doesn't have the same amount of crates in the same exact spot, does not a bad conversion make. Get over it.
Though, since you're very opinionated on all of the changes to Source maps. I'm going to have to get into contact with you later to discuss something you may be interested in helpin with. Top secret government work, very hush hush.Comment

gah.
I liked the update to de_train. They improved the map without changing too much, but in the case of inferno they changed way too much.
My main gripe is that they added a sniper window to the T side. Not only would this slow the map down even more, but now the Ts have two sniping spots down that middle compared to just one for the CTs. Any sniping CT can easily be doubleteamed.
Don't get me wrong, I like some of the changes, like the pillars leading to bombsite B and the cars replacing the crates. It's just that sniper window that makes a huge (and totally unnecessary) difference to the whole gameplay of the map.
