The latest news from the official Steam website indicates that both de_port and de_inferno will be available to the public next week for Counter-Strike: Source. In addition, there will be an update to the current Counter-Terrorist model, as pictured below on the revamped de_inferno:

If that wasn't enough, there will be unveilings of new products at the E3 expo, including Half-Life 2 for Xbox and Half-Life 2: Lost Coast. Certainly some great news!

I wonder what the strategy is behind this 3rd update of the same CT model? Could it be that they will test each model before releasing a selection to choose from, or is it something.. else..

yes thats the reason why its being released, not becasue they have been working on it for months now, or because people kept telling them to make it, nooo it was to replace tides in CAL

Is de_tides really that bad for matches? Does anyone have actual experience on that map with (descent level) matches that can inform us?



I just hope de_port gets a descent change of being tested as a new warmap.. CS needs more & new warmaps imho, because playing the same maps over & over for years in matches can get a bit boring..



And I mean proper new CS:S warmaps, so not the ugly 1.6 ported (CPL) maps..
