The Punk Ass Fraggers Game Community has just released their largest conversion pack! The PAF Ultimate CS: Source Splash Pack was released just a few short hours ago. Don't let the name fool you: The splash pack replaces much more than a silly background image:

What's in the pack is a replacement for nearly everything in Counter Strike Source. The contents of this pack contain all new player skins, all new weapons skins and/or models, all new sounds, all new hostages, a new hud, a new console screen, new props, new radio command sounds, new win sounds, new music, new sprites, and a couple of exclusive releases you will only find in this pack. All said and done, this pack replaces/adds over 1000 files!

We did 4 months of testing on this and the general report is that the FPS hit is minimal. I myself have a very so so system and it plays fine.

Hey man, the CDG people keep ignoring everyone asking about the de_dust textures, so could you tell me where they are in the folders? Great pack by the way, had a lot of guns I wanted to get but the download links were dead.

it looks cool, but everything is advertising PAF. just for that, no way, it is way too cheesy.

I'll address it again.

Only 3 things out of a pack of over 1000 files have our logo on them. Everything does not advertise the PAF.



There are some really great things in this pack made by people from the PAF community, the CDG Forum community, the HL2world community and many others.



As for our logo being on 3 things, I see no problem with it. The PAF has worked on this pack with all of these people for 4 months, should we not let people know who we are?

okay good point, but two of those three models are pretty much the ones seen the most. the people that are using these models have already downloaded them from PAF, so you slapping your logo on the CT and T models is just distracting, and so for that reason, i am not going to use it. just voicing my opinion.

logo is only on the CT model and you can always use the WHOLE pack and either just delete the CT model and use the default OR install a new one.

...and SoopaFly lays down the logical smack yet again. Hey, at least they didn't remove all credits and try to charge people money for it like those Games Fusion jerks. Don't get me wrong, I hate advertising, but seriously here. We're talking about three logos, sounds rough. :P I dunno how anyone's ever gonna manage...



Anyway, thanks for compiling a great starting pack. Stuff like this is fantastic for people who are new to customizing their game, or who just don't want to hunt down individual replacements. Well done.
