anyone got a good setup to run cs source or hl2 based games on servers with no jerky-ness aka twitching.
is it rates?
is it some kinda console command?
is it internet?
i know its not my comp... its way above the requirements to play hl2 and doom3.
i wonder if its my internet... dsl t1 768/768 up and down. so it shouldnt be that...
my rates are :
rate 25000
cl_cmdrate 100
cl_updaterate 100
cl_smooth 0
cl_lagcompensation 1
the game looks like its running ok but some times it twitches and people that watch me first person say my gun is twitching and because of it or of my skill they think im hacking. but im not, its not hard to get massive head shots in counter strike source because of the retarded hitboxes.
perhaps its my rates... some times when i use default rates like cl_cmdrate 30
cl_updaterate 20
then the game is more smoother on some servers... but i get choke and loss ranging from 2-10...
arrg wish i could figure this out.Comment

Glad to see there's still some support for the old engine. :)
still seems CS/CZ have been "forgotten", and all the cool map updates/other updates have gone to CSS. I understand that CZ/CS isnt making valve any more money, and CSS still is. valve did support a free game like CS for years , why not keep up the tradition and fully support their most popular games as well? Cheating Death 4.30.1 is out, I think that may be the reason, rather than an update to fix HL1 server query system.
lol from a hack site
"oh not one hack works i have try all hack on internet"
(But the "Fixed several exploits triggered by malicious server operators" could also do the trick, granted that admins are helping people cheat :/ )Comment
