Half-Life 2 Sweeps Bafta Awards

Our friends over at Half-Life Fallout has spotted the British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC, with their report on Half-Life 2 and their total winnings of six Bafta (British Academy of Film, Television and Arts) Awards. HL2 was victorious in the following categories: best game, best online game, best action adventure, best PC game, art direction and animation.

PC first person shooter Half-Life 2 has won six Bafta Awards, including best game and best online game.



The title, developed by Valve, was released last year to universal acclaim - receiving special praise for its immersive plot and physics engine.



The game also won Baftas for best action adventure, best PC game, art direction and animation.

Both, it was for all the online gaming content included with Half-Life 2.

Just want to say, the new ads on this site that turn certain phrases into ad links is pretty annoying. I'd almost rather pop-up ads, and certainly the banner/google ads all around the page already are good enough? I know you guys need to make money but maybe another way... having the title of an article changed to a huge link for no reason is a bit disorienting and irritating! Thanks for your consideration.

I honestly don't see what the masturbation over HL2 has been. I bought it

and played through almost all of it and none of it was jaw dropping like the original. It was a thuroughly unmemerable game with lots and lots of physics. I couldn't even enjoy the graphics because the game's 'amazing' graphics don't support the shitty Nvidia G4 MX cards. I would say it was ok but it doesn't deserve 6 awards.

I think that the game was deserving of the awards, perhaps not that many, but it certainly deserved Best Game.

Looking at the nominees, I think HL2 won all the awards it deserved.



Burnout 3 didn't get enough recognition though ^_^
