Just a thought, so please, no one jump on me, but what if VALVe is going for more of a SWAT feel to the models so they are all that green color but have little differences like the goggles on that model, etc. What do you guys think?

it is a good idea, but they should make the models customizable like the weapons too, just make them cost money....... example, m4 - m203, scope, laser , flashlight...... haha that'd be awesome id definitily play cs more often!

Train Tomorrow
Zips @ 5:42 pm pst on 2/23/05 - cstrike: source
With another week comes another update from Valve.
We're still on track for releasing an update to Counter-Strike: Source tomorrow.
While we've been talking for a number of weeks about the new hostage rescue map we've been working on (cs_compound), Turtle Rock Studios has also been working on getting de_train converted over to Counter-Strike: Source. Along with cs_compound, we'll be including the new version of de_train in tomorrow's release.
Along with the two new maps, there are a number of fixes to the bots in Counter-Strike, an enhancement to the radar to display your current location in the map, and a fix for Half-Life 2: Deathmatch where players are disguising themselves as headcrabs, filing cabinets, and other invalid models.
You can check out either of the two screenshots for de_train while you anxiously await tomorrow evening.Comment

It's not new. It's been in the model folder for CS: Source since it came out. It's just been untextured and has a higher than normal poly count than the current CT model.
It's cool train is finally coming but I'm actually more excited about cs_compound, it just looks really fun.
He's on the right in both screenshots.
Same model, higher poly count. 'Bout it.appended @ [time="1109216505"]

I'm ready for some liberal gameplay changes - bring on the customization I say. Source is fun but it's the same game I've been playing since 1.0, which is both good and bad, but it feels more bad than good right now.
You know what would be pretty cool? If there were four or however many models per side, and every model had 3 or 4 variations, and only 1 model per side and all the variations of that model were available on a map - so that everyone looked like they were on the same team, rather than the Counter Terrorist swap meet versus Terrorist happy friends squad we currently have (well, that HL1 CS has.)Comment
