This is the same Garry who beta-tested our 1-year ban when it was brand-spanking new. Seems like he liked that so much he tested another 3-month ban a few weeks and a few too many comments after the 1-year ban expired, and we never really saw much of him after that.

The problem was, he didn't only make stupid people irate. He more made everyone irate. Yeah, he was good at pointing out stupid flaws in logic that many people made, but he generally did so in such an offensive manner that nearly everyone had a reason to dislike him.
He was banned because he was really good at making stupid people irate. Garry's been around for a while. His CS humor site was hosted here on CS-Nation a few years ago, for example.

Good question. Nah, it's just sort of hit and miss. Sometimes, though, I honestly think it'd be good to just feature CS art every so often, to mix things up. It'd allow for more material, and hopefully less forced jokes.

Before you can be hired to do the POTD you have to memorize all ~ 1,500 images and captions that have been POTD to be prepared for the moment someone resubmits a 2 year old pic.Comment

Most of the pictures in our archives are accidental in-game shots. The POTD can only be as funny as the shots submitted to us. When I say this people respond with, "but I submitted a HILARIOUS pic that was never approved!!!" and I go and look in the submit archive and the picture is some stupid matrix reference or something that has been done to death 500x.
The POTD isn't suppose to be the epitome of comedy, it's suppose to be a light-hearted reminder that the site is still alive, with the occasional unexpected gem that can bring a laugh or two for those familiar with the game. People who can't look past this are probably new to the site and/or game and probably fail to realize that just about every "accidental scenario" that can happen in a game of Counter-Strike has already been a POTD. Luckily CS: Source brings in hilarious ragdoll possibilities with a CT touching a Ts butt LOL!Comment
