    Managing Analysis

Let's face it, it is increasingly apparent that eSports is gaining momentum and attracting attention as it continues to expand each day. From newly introduced TV channels featuring Counter-Strike and the eSports sides of things to professional teams with salaried players, eSports is rising and doesn't seem to be stopping any time soon. Due to this, more and more companies are getting involved with the eSports scene, and with that said, Amped eSports has an insightful article detailing the managerial aspects of eSports. Said article focuses on the finer points in approaching sponsorships, partnerships, and affiliations with companies. Should you have any interest with eSports, reading this writeup should be on the top of your agenda.
When writing about what your team "wants" in return, try to avoid using the actual word "want." It makes it seem demanding and too aggressive, which most companies I have found dislike. Example: "We want this, We expect this, We demand this, In return for helping you we want this." Phrases like that are hazardous to your team's slim chances of gaining a big corporate sponsor. Instead try using more relaxed wording, but still get the point across. Example: "In return for our services to your company we are interested in..." Just the changing of a few simple words can change the whole flow, and positively affect the impression it will make on the readers. Another big mistake that I once made, and I'm sure many other "beginner" managers have made, is create one letter that will appeal to a large genre of companies. Sounds like a good idea, but it is not. Companies do not want to feel as if the team has absolutely no interest in working with them. In theory, companies like to feel "special" in the sense that each e-mail/mail letter you write is unique to that company.
In all, this is certainly an interesting read from the perspective of an actual manager. Check back for more articles in the future.

I'm gonna be the manager for the first ever team of CS playing chickens, and it's thanks to this advice that I got Microsoft to fund me!

Is it just me, or does CSNation freeze up your browser every now and then?

I'm also using Firefox. I dunno what the problem is but this is the only site that does it. Right now in the bottom left it reads:

"Transferring data from us.intellitxt.com" and it doesn't stop.
