Upcoming HL2: DM Updates Announced

In addition to the CS: Source update mentioned by Valve recently, another announcement has been released stating that a HL2: DM update is also on the way. In this update, two new weapons will be added to the game; the StunStick, the Slam, and of course, the crowbar. But that's not all, a new map is being released entitled "Steam Lab." Take a look at these few images to get your mouth watering:

According to the announcement, the source code will be released to Half-Life 2: Deathmatch in the SDK around the same time.



This update is expected to be released next week; they're going for Thursday the 17th.



And one last note for your viewing pleasure: VAC 2 is on the way.

Im dying to try the slam and the stunstick,and good riddence to hackers when vac2 comes out,just hope they keep on updating vac2 to prevent new hacks.

It's annoying living with out vac. Anyone with a good score is labeled a hacker, more so than ever before i feel. I just hope that this puts rest to most of these accusations.

Is it just me, or do the names "the Slam" and the "Stunstick" sound a little corny? I dunno, just seems to be pretty stupid names for weapons.

SLAM - Selectable Lightweight Attack Munition. They are a type of mine, so probably something like the ones in HL2 single player. Not really sure though

its not in hl2, its a trip mine which can be set to go off remotely or when somebody goes near it.
