Ignoring all the "LOL I AM TO COOL FOR UR CS CLOTHS" comments, none of the stuff in the shop is actually that nice, so I think I'll pass.

Hmmm - once again no support for the Switch / Maestro cards, one of the uk's most popular cards. Seriously, when are they going to add support for them ?

Probably because of the additional expense of accepting international debit card transactions when they are a tiny minority compared to visa/mastercard and amex owners.

i would get the cs shirt but:

Valve will only ship Merchandise to addresses in the United States
If they don't even ship to Europe, what would be the point in accepting popular European payment methods? Don't get me wrong, it might make it easier for some Europeans to buy HL2 via Steam, but the merchandise is currently not even an option for anybody outside of the States.

Bokuho, well said, and I can see where you're coming from with that. I was more referring to the people who are like "dude, these shirts are for nerdz, lolz3r5!!!11!" and act as if they're somehow too cool for the merchandise while posting on a CS fansite.

Valve is honestly and actually trying to take over the world via a marketing scheme here. realize it people.

im 14 years old, im a midget. wearing a hl2 shirt to school means that my ass is grass in short. and my reputation that has taken me so damn long to build up too....is grass.

I might be wrong here... but isn't Valve a software company? I mean, don't software companies design... software? If they were a REAL software company with quality products, they would be much to busy to sell t-shirts. ^ The truth. Why are they investing their time selling sub-par clothes, when they can invest it in making better software? I didn't know that software industry had to sell clothes just to cut ends-meat... geeze. Valve, you have your priorities messed up!

[a ton of stuff I can't be arsed to quote properly]
Maybe Valve took a look at the huge sales figures of SquareEnix's Final Fantasy t-shirts and merch. and decided that their games were popular enough to do the same with. Obviously it's early days so nobody can tell how well the Valve stuff has/will sell, but like, if you look at merch for other hugely popular games like Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, the Grand Theft Auto games etc, their merch sells really well. In fact the various publishers behind those specific game series have made almost as much money via selling t-shirts and such as they have from the games themselves.

If you can get people to like your product enough, you can get people to buy t-shirts and stuff of it. That means more money, and who's going to say no to that?

I'd like a regular Counter-Strike poster and the black mesa shirt/sweatshirt Alyx wears. Preferrably not in Baby Doll only because I'm not actually Baby Doll size. I'll still probably end up buying the source poster.

Go on Gpig, get a babydoll top. You know the whole crossdressing look is really 'in' this year.
