CS: Source Map Contest

Are you a mapper familiar with the Source engine and Valve Hammer or any other mapping tool? Do you wish for your creations to be played and enjoyed by numerous gamers? If so, HL2Mapping.com is holding a contest aimed towards fine mappers such as yourself in giving you that chance.

Here are the simple rules of the Contest.



1. Map must be a Counter-Strike Source map.

2. Playtest your map, make sure it's not buggy...

3. You have 2 Months to make this map.

4. After your finished, email your map to 'phil@quicklinecomputers.co.uk'

5. Email MUST state this line in the subject "My Mapping Contest Map"

6. Your Map should contain all your details, and should be "RAR'ed"

The 10 best maps will be added to the map rotation of HL2Mapping's sponsored Counter-Strike: Source servers, ready to be feasted by thousands of players. Interested? If so, click here for the full information.

and you could be CT and try to defuse the planted twinkie - Map would take place at the Hostess factory

I've got the best idea for a de map: allright, so theres too bomb sites, A site would be right at the CT spawn, and the whole map would have a middle eastern theme to it. There would be a tunnel to go under for the T's and a small hallway to access B site. I think I'll call it, de_bestmapever.

According to my credible sources, that is a map created by MikeJ. Currently, he is in court with DaveJ for undisclosed reasons.

oh, dear me, a CS Source mapping contest... just what i've always wanted! too bad i suck at mapping for source (/me rules in CS 1.6 mapping, lol), and even if i participate, i'm going to make a stupid aim_ map :|
