CS:S Bot Monday

I don't see how you can say Valve is late. I think the earliest they have ever released anything is 12 PM PST. Once it gets past 6 PM PST you can start saying they're late. But their usual 6 hour release window doesn't open for another 3 hours.

Sounds like they have made a lot of improvements. I wonder if they will now remember where they last saw you. Right now against CZ bots it's possible to duck behind a crate right in front of a bot's eyes and it will totally forget where you are, run past you leaving its rear open for an easy frag.

I honestly don't understand the "I bought an incomplete product" argument. Valve was very up-front about what would and would not be available at launch. Nothing was covered up. Any person who did a reasonable amount of research into the product knew that there was no out-of-the-box deathmatch, that DOD: Source was not available, and what was included with CS: Source. You were aware of all this, and you chose to pay for the game. If you somehow weren't aware of this, then I'd say it's your problem. You should have looked at what you were buying.



So if you knew the product was (in your words) incomplete when you bought it, why the hell did you buy it?

because it's HL2? also, if you preordered on steam the day preorders became available, you really didn't know what it actually contained, or, rather, didn't contain. HL2 is a holey, plotless game built on an incomplete engine with only halfway decent multiplayer and a book the size of war and peace of bugs. hl2 needed major patching right out of the box, for christ's sake.



that said, it was really fun. <3

Most valve content releases happen in the later afternoon/early evening.



8PM is a bit late though, even for Valve.

we'll never see the bots......i almost don't want them anymore, I want valve to wait to come out with one big release instead of many little ones. Needed:



1)Bots

2)MORE player models damnit >_< (a lot more, like 8 on each team this time)

3)cs_assault (the real deal, not some made crap i've seen around)

4)AS maps back (such as oilrig)

5)All the cz maps, not just de_tides

6)Training mode (like cz)

7)Gas grenades

8)Better physics on players (When you shoot people, blood spots just form on their bodies, they don't twitch or anything like in reg cs, they should add it in, but improve it. Also it would be pretty cool to see people fly back when they are killed by a shotgun.)

Once you've past 11:59PM then you can say they're late, since they never said what time its going to be released :)
