I don't have a very criticial analysis of cs:s but after playing it exclusively since the beta was released, then trying 1.6 a few days ago, source just feels tighter. I have tuned my config much in the way I have it set up for 1.6 and I can't say I miss 1.6 a bit. Hit detection seems to be much much much more accurate in source. Instead of shooting in the space between the other players elbow and leg resulting in a hit, you acutally miss, imagine that!!! Also, I'd like to bring up that from a sponsorship point of view, source was going to happen wether you like it or not, they need a platform to exhibit the latest and greatest computer equipment. counter strike is the most popular game on the internet, natrually making it an ideal game to put money behind. unfortunaly 1.6 is just old, it doesn't have all the flashy new features that source takes advantage of. It is rather funny, orginally i got into video games because they freed me of politics and drama, now a days, that's all I read about, haha.
