I believe that there is a firm need for the players to get something back. But not just out of pockets of the leagues and events, of course - I believe a massive infrastructure must be built before any of this can take place. Someone has to be willing to spend millions of dollars to create the basis for a business infrastructure, see it through its childhood, and help to bring aboard the people who can foster it into a full maturity.
