The Cyberathlete Amateur League announced several changes for their Counter-Strike division:
1. Teams will be allowed to compete in both the Source division and one of the CS 1.6 divisions. As you can see, this will be the last and final season of the CAL Counter-Strike 1.6 season. With the CPL's decision to replace Counter-Strike 1.6 in favor of Counter-Strike: Source for their upcoming tournament in summer, and announcements from various CAL-invite professional teams acknowledging the change, it seems 1.6 is gradually diminishing in the invite level.
