Let's see....first, I voted against Bush. Second......there is 15 million going to Asia as well as lots of resources with more aid forthcoming.

France sent about 100,000 Euros. Germany, another token amount.

America gives more aid than any other country for more causes.

Also, if more people in the afflicted countries were more educated, they wouldn't have run down to the beach when the water level dramatically receded. When the ocean does that, it means only one thing. Get the hell to high ground NOW, there is a tidal wave coming.

No, instead everyone flocked to the beach to look at the fish and to get closer looks at the ocean. And yes, I've seen lots of footage showing many people doing just that before the wave hit...and sending their kids down.

I feel for the children who couldn't have known any better but for the adults who went down there, we have Darwin awards for them.

Meanwhile, what country do you hail from Ghengis? And how much aid is coming from your country?

Now it's 35 Million plus America is the country providing transportation for moving the aid to Asia.
Wasnt locals that ran down to beaches, was the tourists, and hwo many tidal waves have you experienced to know that you should run from the water going out? That is one of the most assanine Comments Iahve ever heard. I am from England. and remember divide your money by 2 for the Pounds value. Sky news is stating USA

18 MILLION pounds, now, and UK 15 million, compare our GNP's and wokr it out. How much money has been spent on Ammunition, installing dictators? Your country is an embarrasment to the international community. Flouts international law for its o0wn ends. Ever heard of Eye for an eye makes the whole world blind?

So you didnt vote for Bush, whoppee doo. The majority of your country did. The most scary thing in the world today aainst all civil liberties is the tthreat of Hegemonising forces, To you Islam, to Muslims, 'liberal' democracy. Which by the evidence of recent events, is , You have the right to believe what you like, as long a it is the same as us/U.S.

You're the idiot. It was mostly locals.

It's a matter of knowing how waves operate...even small ones.

If I live next to a volcano and hear rumbling, I don't have to climb up it and look down to figure a eruption is taking place. If in Kansas with no train rails nearby and I hear what sounds like a train, I don't have to peer putside to figure a tornado is coming. If the ocean suddenly sucks back about 600 feet, I don't have to see the wave coming to know what's up.

America is now up to pledging over a billion dollars for the mess over there. Last year, private american citizen donations outside of our government was over 241 million dollars. Add that to the governments money doling.

I'm one of the growing number of americans tired of helping countries who don't even appreciate it. You want us to just give you money and then get out. Screw you. I'd rather we just keep all of our money from now on and help only our own people. No one wants our help, fine. Many of us are now fine with that plan.

BTW, I had already guessed you were from England. It bloody well showed, pompous ass.

Sigh nto world war bs, and Osama being 'pwned' by numerous flag poles is nothing to do with Iraq, except your brainwashed populace, belive of course that al-Quaeda is some sort of organised terrorist organisation, which forms a useful hegemonising threat for your people to rally around.

Take your dirty oil grabbing faux democracy and stick it up your bible bashing Neoconservative arse.

You've said way too much already. If you seem to admire Al Qaida so much, how about you go tap a U.S. Marine on the shoulder and let him know about it.

Maybe America should just invade England now. England can unite with France and make it even easier for us.
