    CAL CS: Source Update

The Cyberathlete Amateur League has announced an update regarding the start of the first ever CAL season of Counter-Strike: Source:
Regular season will begin on January 3rd. There will be no preseason and any team without 5 on their roster by January 1st will be deleted.

The map rotation list and server config will be released in the very near future. CAL has no plans to open any additional leagues for this season of Counter-Strike: Source so please refrain from asking staff about that.
As you can see, official matches will begin relatively shortly. Click here for the official post.

I'm wondering if Valve will release new maps by January? Like Nuke, Train or Inferno. Or maybe were going to play on Piranessi or Havana! (...)

no offence, but I like playing those maps. They are not my favorite maps, but they are fun to play. I wonder what the first CAL made map would be or if it would be accepted into the CPL.

I'd be more concerned that they're having a league in a game with no cheat protection, when cheating is running rampant.

Not to mention the start money bug that a lot of servers are experiencing.

I love CS: Source, but it's got a ways to go before I'd consider playing it competatively. And that's disappointing.
