whats an ex Eolithic player.. is that another clan?
Eolithic was the best clan, they kicked everyones ass and they were european, then they broke up and 3 of them reformed into NoA, with a few very good american players. u really need to DL the eolithic movie, its a shame that xeqtr didnt go with the whole NoA idea..

Team NoA came back from a match overturned to EYEBALLERS due to a flashbang exploit (it really needs to be fixed ASAP and not pushed aside for other changes such as brightening up de_nuke as a whole and others aimed towards the less experienced Counter-Strike players). Furthermore, they lost Knoxville, one of their better players, and picked up Xeqtr and had to readjust. Oh yeah, they also won 2 matches on de_inferno against EYEBALLERS for the CPL championship title - a small, little, easy thing to do. Hats off to them, even though Team NoA is headed by a high school drop out from Canada whose father made a documentary on the downfall of his son for a Canadian TV news network (jk...).

But hey, this proves thousands upon thousands of hours of playing a computer game can net you $30,000! Take that, caring and concerned fathers of the world!

Divided by 5 people = $6,000. Then, assuming you have sponsors, take out taxes, and you'll be lucky to be left with $4,000. That's $333 a month, or ~$11 a day. Now consider how many hours they put into CS a day. 4? 5? That prize money is NOTHING. It may seem like a lot, but when it comes right down to it its almost nothing, considering the time they put into it. And this is for winning FIRST in the most prestigious tourney CS has to offer. There's thousands and thousands of clans competing for that one spot, and practically none will ever make it. I know I'm making all this fuss when you didn't really mean it that way, but crazy amounts of kids think they can make a hot living off of CS. Maybe one day, but not today.

I was hoping a good number of people would have sensed a considerable amount of sarcasm in the previous post of mine.

I'm suprised we aren't seeing "3D will win it next year for sure. They just had a bad tournament."

Gameshot, your point is totally valid, that's why they compete in more than one competition per year =) plus in my experence with professional athletes of anykind, they live off the sponsor, not prize money, so this is probably just extra spending cash for them. However, I find a legitamate job that fuels my CS addiction much easier to come by than the other way around.

Thanks DchozN. Without mindless fanboys, I wasn't sure if I was at CSN or not.
