First off, the quickswitching to speed up the silencer.. thing.. doesn't work anymore. Even if it did, it's not nearly as detrimental to the game as illegal flashbangs are. Quickswitching to end a reload seems like a logical 'exploit', if you can call it that. You can't stop reloading in CS like you could in life, so what's the big deal? If you switch to a pistol while reloading your primary, you're no better off then if you had just pulled your pistol out instead if trying to reload your primary. It may be an exploit, but it offers no advantage.
Shadow wrote..I think the flashbang exploit was that someone threw a flashbang under the box in ramp room, which flashes the whole ramp room. That might have been the flash exploit that was used, I personally don't think you should be punished for it since it's kind of unavoidable if you want a good flash. Anyway, it's NoA vs. EYE in the grand finals right now. NoA has to win 2/2 of the matches to win I think. Frankly, I hope NoA wins to shut up those EYE cocky bastards.

The silencer trick works for me. And does anyone have an actual idea of what the flashbang exploit was? I mean, if all they did was throw it over a roof, (such as throwing it over the space above a wall to flash people on the other side) I don't see why they should be kicked to a lower bracket for that. I mean, in reality, that's possible.

what happens is the flashbangs get stuck under a box and when they go off, they end up blinding people for much longer than a regular flash is supposed, something like 11 seconds. The chances of it happening are really low because we can't even see the distance there is between the box and the floor. So the cpl made the rule because they assumed that the only chance of a flashbang ending up under there were if the team had taken the time to figure out where they needed to throw the flashbang so it would land under the box and then threw them deliberately in that spot during the match. What happened with NOA is that in the 7th round, 3 flashbands were reportedly thrown under the floating box so they gave all the remaining rounds in the half to EYE

Hehe, funny to see NOA get booted for using an FB exploit.. I remember when I with my clan played in CPL Holland in 2001, we got owned by some Swedish team on de_dust (god I hate that map for wars) who used some very lame FB exploit on us aswell.. I was blinded 50% of the whole f*ckin war, it was so lame.. Good to see now there are actually rules against it and they are enforced in a big tournament.. I'm sick of all these l33t players who think it's so cool & l33t to find and abuse all these exploits and loopholes in a game.. Sad part is they don't even need it, they would win in a "normal" way aswell.. But they just want to feel "special" or something, and even dare to call exploit/loophole abuse a "skill", yeah whatever!!
xredebility wrote..Yeah, whatever dude.. They knew very well how to throw them into corners of walls so the complete otherside would be flashed.. Pretty lame way 'to own' if you ask me..

[CyW]-=BigBear=- wrote..It's funny because you're lying. There isn't any such flashbang exploits on de_dust that even exist, much less are they useful. If they were blinding you, how could you tell where they were throwing the flashbangs? If you were looking right at them, how do you know you weren't just blinded for STARING AT A FLASHBANG?
