Unofficial cs_docks Remake Release

Taking a page from Gamespot's playbook, Punk Ass Fraggers have slated DjBourgeoisie's CS:S remake of cs_docks for release today at 6:00 PM PST. Why all of the hullabaloo about a community map? Well, from the looks of things, it might end up being one of the few really good looking custom CS: Source maps released thus far.



When the map is released, you'll be able to get it from the PAF downloads section. Until then, go check out the screenshots and map info right here.

Having played this, I know you guys won't be dissapointed. It is beautiful and has GREAT game play.

I'm glad they preserved the layout. At first it looked like they had scratched the tunnel sysetm (the boxes in the Z shaped tunnel were hiding the doorway that leads to the ladder that goes down) but then in the later screenshots I saw what must be the updated tunnels. I like how they ditched the octoganal tubes and instead have gone for a completely different atmosphere.



Anyway -- looks rather nice. Hope it still plays the same! I'm looking forward to rushing over the building from CT spawn :)



The only thing I noticed was that the map felt like it was enclosed in a canyon... with the capabilities of the source engine I wish they had included some sort of 3d sky box... like distant cliffs and trees.

having never played cs_docks on 1.6 (or maybe I did and this just looks different?) I have to say this is going to be 'the' custom map I want my favorite servers to put on. It looks spectacular

Having seen the screens that were first released of this, I must say it looks mighty impressive. Great job, and I can't wait to give this a go.
