The bitter winter chill sets in for this year's Cyberathlete® Extreme Winter Championships held at Texas, but the intense planned matches boils up some heated anticipation. It's showtime for all competing teams on Thursday, however, let's have a look at what can be expected from the event and several pre-game happenings:The first "LO3" and following rounds of play will commence tomorrow morning at 10:10 A.M. on de_cpl_strike. Be there to spectate along with the likes of SK.swe, spixel, Meepins, and thousands upon thousands of other fans.

Does this mean that SK.swe will be in Dallas, just not competing?

              Edit: WOW I didn't see #3.

» Watching HLTV or those bland IRC scorebots can be downright boring. Instead of the same ho-hum business, make sure to tune into Team Sportscast Network for some exciting commentary. They will be providing both audio and video for the exciting matches, so do not miss out. Casts begin 8CST tomorrow!
I don't suppose the audio commentary be synched with the HLTV?

As previously reported, SK.swe will not be in attendance for Winter CPL. Their German division, SK.ger, will compete instead.

Also, as stated in the newsbit, Team Sportscast Network "will be providing both audio and video for the exciting matches" (don't you just love quoting yourself?). TsN has introduced TvSN, where the audio commentary is coupled with video feed. Therefore, there will be no need for that HLTV and TsN broadcast business - they offer both audio and video for events such as this. Besides, TvSN has been introduced quite a while ago, FatboyTim. Damn those rocks. Damn them.

Ah, but the image quality of HLTV @ 1600x1200 must be better than streaming video?

Not everyone can support that high of a resolution smoothly. I was merely suggesting that what TsN offers (synced audio and video) was more convenient. But hey, it is entirely up to you in how you wish to specate the CPL matches.
