Xfire and Team 3D Team Up

Xfire, the popular server browsing tool, and Team 3D have formed a partnership with one another.

"Xfire is thrilled to work with Team 3D," said Mike Cassidy, CEO of Xfire. "We look forward to continuing our long term relationship with one of the top teams in the world of professional gaming."

The new partnership with the two promises to yield many public Xfire events with Team 3D. These regular events will give the community the chance to play against one of the top esports teams out there. The first of many such events is scheduled for December 5th and will include public gameplay, private lessons, and a private pick-up game. The event kicks off at 8PM and runs until midnight with prizes including USB headsets and mousepads.

We had more of an event by event / informal relationship before this, but together we have stepped things up and are working on doing some really cool things together. I suggest downloading Xfire and getting used to it now

psh, I am sick and tired of hearing about Team3D. Its like they're a gods.. Well YOU (team 3D) are just a bunch of nerds who are getting money the most lamest way. No, not gaming, but by being little stock-ups. I'm sick and tired of hearing their shit and how "GODLY" they are in CS. CS is an old game, get over it. There way better games out there like CS:S (which actually challenges your skill in moving mouse fast enough to catch an opponent, other than being super lucky hitting each random shot right in CS), or Enemy Territory or something. 3: Private Lesson Raffle (10pm - midnight)



After the Play With, Team 3D will be raffling off 4 private lessons for you and your clan! The winners will be given a 30 minute lesson with one of the members of Team 3D, where you can learn some tips, tricks, or tactics on your favorite CS map! They would actually visit here often if there weren't so many kids who complain about e-sports news posts here. Most of the competitive CS players shelter at gotfrag because gotfrag is a site concerned with mainly e-sports gaming. You'd be surprised that the attitudes of the 3D members really aren't what you expect, as well as most players in CAL-I.

Since when has cs 1.6's old technology held it back? It's been 5 long years that CS 1.6 has been alive and well, who's to say it's going to die because of CS:Source? Just because there's an advanced engine out, doesn't mean it's going to completely wipe out the competition (doom 3 anyone?).

What has 3D done to you? I'll tell you what 3D has done for you. I can guarantee that competitive counter-strike is the reason that it's alive today. Without major teams, CS would have died and to be honest without a major competitive American team like 3D, American e-sports would have slowly died down and moved to a new game. I'm also including the achievements of X3 since it included most of the team 3D members.

I'm sorry you have such deep seeded discontent with us. And as for those who hate us because we're making a living playing games professionaly, why is that so bad? Video games are a part of the entire new generation of Americans (from 4 to 24) and the following for e-sports is growing with it. I can't think of a more fun "job" to have.



We're just like everyone else, and don't think that we're too good for good, fun, true sites like CSN. This is one of my favorite sites because it has such diversified content and great staff.



This is actually one of the only websites that I even post on because everyone is usually really cool and down to Earth. Relax, have a good time, and just enjoy it :)

doom3 single player is ok... but multi-player is for shit. you can only do 2v2 or 4 way free for alls... and boy its WAY to dark to see jack.



hl2 deathmatch and cs source mods and stuff are way more fun then 1.6 can every possibly put out.



plus since 1.6 and 1.5 has been out for years and has had 5 years old engine technology almost 65% of pubs consist of gay 9 ( or in that range) year old hackers with smack talking mouths. all they do is Deliberately try to piss people off, thus making pubs or mod servers boring and retarded. this one gay kid used steams view servers on east, he followed me into every server (even passworded ones)



then got banned from this one server over 16 times and kept coming back in...



now with cs source we have barely any hackers do to the "lag" and new engine... prolly to hard for the noob 9 year old annoying hackers to figure out. or its to much for their crappy hacker comp to handle.



least we get a vacation from the hackers in source because it will be some time before the hackers mommies and daddies by them new comps. :)



as for these so called 24-7 gamers that play for cash i think its a elite idea... have like 5 buddies live with ya in a apartment... then take turns going to work and paying for bills and food supply.

like one goes to work while the other 4 stay at home playing. then next day you get to stay home playing all day while some one else works. or something to that retarded nature.



although saving money would be a small as hell income.

then again gaming was made for fun and not really money rewards or pride and this competition smack talk fighting like you've seen in that basketball game where some guy beat up some fan... quite hilarious how people do not realize games are for passing of the time when we didnt even have computers and tv... all we had was stupid games and sex... heh..



i heard korean gamers make 1 million a year gaming... all they play is starcraft though... heh... wish warcraft 3 frozen throne would get me money i'd be rollin in it :P
