yeah. I was lagging so badly. Everytime something came at me I would just freeze. My videocard is to strong for my processor. gg. I was getting like 5-15fps max. It would be so easy if someone had a good pc to just run and kill me even if they sucked lol.

on another note, wot the hells happened with hlfallout, its been down for nearly a week. They gonna lose alot of visitors, they need to sort there coding out, its always going down. Shame as well cos the site is good.

If you bother to read their site it tells you about the database problems. If youve been there since HL2's release you will notice that they have hundreds of posts every hour on their forums which it just cant handle. I do miss them tho ;(

HL2DM doesn't seem as impressive when it lags like mad!!! By the time I throw an object at someone, he's gone and 6 meters away from me!! Really cool game, although I'm still trying to find a decent server to play in. Now is it just me, or does anyone else get stuck in that pile in the City 17 map also?

You can find a good server if you look. Just look for servers sorted by ping, and choose the lowest you can, assuming it has few enough players.

and it still lags like ... like crazy.

i think i just need a new comp... but i hear people with good comps are lagging just like me... so it dont matter what you do its steam low budget servers that are lagging every one. if you could play hl2, and cs source with out needing to be on steam network then perhaps the lag would be gone. aka won...



cant play cuz it lags but if you spectate theres no lag... strange...



funest looking map is overwatch, cuz you can nade people and they fly flipping over crap n stuff and since its more open you fly FAR FAR away... omfg i saw this one dude get rocket launched up a wall and was hanging...



and its very hilarious to watch some one shoot a table straight in the air then catch it with their fore head... hahaha splat.

wish i could play but being lagged like a mother and thus getting cheesed because of the lag aka spawn killers and people blinking as if they were 56kers but they have 50 ping is about lame and annoying as hell.



whats the minimal requirements for hl2 deathmatch? 9999 ram?

p4 9999 ghz? need beastly comp just to play.



and i have dsl T1 internet 768 kb/s up and down.

HL2DM runs smooth as silk here.. I just played on the Xs4all HL2DM server tonight with 14 players, and no lag at all and good fps (good fast connection and PC helps ).. I'm amazed how much fun it is killing people with toilets and PC-monitors LOL!! And really how smooth it ran with so many players and all the physics objects flying arround.. Kudos to Valve and it's Source engine incl. the netcode.. :)



Got lag? Find a better server, fix your rates, or get a better broadband ISP.. Got low fps? Tune down HL2 graphics detail, or get a faster PC.. Simple as that..



HL2DM rocks!!! Now we just need more maps, and where's the crowbar? :P

I played in a server with no large objects (like file cabinets) and I must say HL2DM is much better with guns instead of gravity gun whoring.

ya a map with ant lions and turrents would be fun... and some mounts... like mount a gun... or drive cars like in hl1... see people rag doll over the wind shield and bumper would be funny as shit.



perhaps ill just make my dream map since they gave us the software to do so finally... now just gotta read 999999 tutorials for 99999 years before i can make a single piece of tile for a map.... rofl.
