Enough with this sick example, let me say what I think would have been fair :



- you use the key and buy nothing : stealer -> disable account

- you fail to use the key properly THEN buy the game : wannabe stealer -> disable account

- you use properly the key THEN buy the game : looking for a demo of the game to see how it runs on your computer -> disable temporarily to punish bad behavior

- you buy the game THEN try the key : curious and idiot user -> disable temporarily



With my duron 600 I have absolutly no chance to have HL2 in a legal or illegal maner, just so you understand I'm just trying to express a balanced point of view.



Hackers of the game are not that pissed off, and those who are deserved it anyway, but people who bought HL2 and didn't used the key to try to steal the game (those who used it properly but bought the game after) have every right to complain.

So when you flame someone complaining for getting banned, think before if he stole the game, try to stole it, or just tested it before buying it.

I support Valve for banning the hackers, but they will be lower in my mind if they don't reactivate accounts of those who stole it and tryed it, then bought it, mending their way.



Valve being unforgiver, after being forgiven their 1 year delay, is quite a slap in the face of the community.

You dont get it. it wasnt released yet, it was stolen whether it was to try it out or not, it was stolen. These people just have to live witht he consequences of their careless behavior.

That's hard to believe, but okay. It's really not going to help here. We don't work for VALVe. You should of probably add this into the Steam forums? Who knows. They never unban anyone under any circumstances so don't keep your hopes up about getting your account back.

Listen...we don't believe you because 4/5 of the gamers out there don't buy the games we play. Myself included. My friends lend me them for a month and i have my fun. Never buy games...even though i just bought half life 2. Moral of the story is.. don't do drugs and stay in school. And if you're asian..learn proper english :-D

Tek I never said that you didnt own the game, I just said that you probably did something wrong that made them disable your account. Now seeing how you obviously own the game (should of made the picture clearer and nice choice on the box) you should just wait it out or make a new account and try to get it warez if you really really cant wait. It usually takes a day or two for the emails to get around and you get your turn in line but it does work. I just find it hard to believe that you didnt do anything wrong yet you give up so easily. Just doesnt make sense.



Oh and far as attacking my age and so on, it just shows how mature you are. Come on now make up something better than my dog can.



And tenreh the only people that lost something are the people that tried to steal the game or use fradulent CC numbers and so on.
