Yeah, but not everyone can run at 1600x1200, due to monitor limitations etc. Seems a bit silly to leave out the 1280 benchies, as more people will play at 1280, even with enthusiast cards. I play at 1600x1200 AA/AF on with my radeon. And the whole point of this article is to show how the graphics cards run while facing higher graphics and resolutions, not whether or not people play with them. Some people like to have the best graphics.Comment

as far as the cedega thing... im a hugh linux nerd and i modded my version of cedega 4.1.1 and it runs HL2 very well... but bugs ahoy... so im assuming that the guys at transgaming are much smarter than i am and the new version of cedega will have better performance (not that my performance isnt already good) and they will obiously fix the bugs

people with Amd and Radeon are having some issues with half-life2 and counter strike source. Go here (and scroll to my post) to perhaps fix them (it did for my friend and my brother).

btw, the benchmarks of nvidia geforce 6800 vs radeon x800xt and saying radeon is best is wrong!
They did the benchmarks with geforce 6800 ultra series they did NOT test the geforce 6800 ultra extreme! which has a 16 pipeline while the ultra only has 12!
The geforce 6800 ultra extreme is the best card out and is somewhat expensive at the moment (around 900).
Just thought you should know - people that are speaking wrongly of Nvidia i will correct. Nvidia ownz all and is the only card that rapes the game farcry vs all other cards. why? because the geforce 6800 ultra extreme is the only card supporting the new software with farcry 1.3 patch.

dude it wouldnt even work. it would give you an error message saying dx 7.0 or more is need for HL2. Trust me i know first-hand.

prices vary. thus the word i stated "around". im pleased to see that its down to 600 now. mine was expensive around 900ish because i got it like the day it came out. heh.
as of 16 pipe line go to nvidia or evga.com they will tell you that the ultras are 12 pipes while extreme is 16. the gt i've yet to look at. but a known fact is the extreme comes with the maximum power of the 6800 series.Comment
