Very good read. I liked that it was really sympathetic towards Newell, but also didn't pull any punches about the mistakes he made.



It makes me wonder what the hell the status of TF2 is...apparently it's still not a dead project. Hopefully they just use Source for it.

I think that was the plan for it, basically they decided that TF2 was impossible to do on their current technology in 1999. After reading what they went through I guess you can safely cut them some slack about it :)
