In a somewhat surprising, although not unexpected result, Team 3D has won the 2004 World Cyber Games Championship. As it stands, they are now 3-Time WCG USA Champions, and now are the World Champions. 3D beat out top Danish team The Titans by winning de_train and de_cbble, making a third match unnecessary. 3D tore through the bracket the entire tournament, even defeating SK.

Most were expecting SK to win again after being WCG Champions last year, and after having picked up Hyper. Hyper was the leader of Team EYE, last CPL's champions, but SK picked him up to have an even stronger lineup than ever.
