You're misinformed. A debit card takes money from your account immediately, whereas a credit card gives you around 1 month of credit before you have to pay, completely interest free. So long as you pay your outstanding balance by the due date, there is no charge.



Lets see, do I want to pay for it immediately or in one month's time.... I think I know the answer to that.

I know dude i just made a typo, but i don't have a credit card because they got maxed out, why is it credit cards only? i don't want to have to wait till HL2 Comnes out in box form!

Anybody know what exchange rate Credit Card companies apply, and at what date? After all, $50 is just about 40€, and Amazon.de is selling HL2 for 50€ (as well as Amazon.fr).

WTF is a Visa Electron? Oh, i just googled it - never heard of it.



If I were a shop and someone came to me with a Visa Electron and I only accepted Credit Cards, I'd show you to the door. No Debit cards please.

Does it mean along with silver package, I also get classic CS, CZ, deleted scenes, the premier pack (DoD, Opposing Force, HL1 etc...)?

There will be ports of DoD and HL to Source engine and one would assume Opposing Force and Blue Shift as well (despite being handled by Gearbox). I may be wrong tho.....



On a side note, according to Steam monitor I'm downloading HL2 @ 356kb/s (I have ADSL 512k line). Never got it that high!

Visa Electon will NOT work. I had one and discovered I couldnt get CZ - I went into my Halifax and got a Visa Debit card which counts as a credit card on Steam and other places.

Yes you get all of the other games that are on steam.
