There's really nothing else that could delay half-life 2, it's already finished. Basically all we need is for Vivendi to "OK" it. Hey at least you can keep a confident thought that no matter what, half-life 2 will be released in less than 6 months!

These screen shot prove that hl2 has been finished for a while its just that vu is keeping it from us,a finished game.this game was probably planned to be released on the 30th or nov 1 the anniversary of half life but vu found a way to stall valve from releasing the game on the 30th.becouse of the law suit valve never had a chance to anounce that it would be realeased on the anniversary of half life the 30th.

I think there's some misunderstanding on your part. Valve can NOT release the game. They needed to give half-life 2 to VU and VU tests it out, then they release it which it is currently in the midst of testing. Valve said they wanted VU to do the tests real quick (maybe 1-3 days) but VU says that they are allowed to hold half-life 2 for up to six (6) months. Valve has told VU they want it released fast because that's what they promised us, the community.



So to answer your question, Valve said "hmm, we should release the game and give them screenshots since VU has messed the whole situation."

Boy, HLFallout is running really slowly. I think CSNation has a minor "slashdot effect," on web pages, because of the massive number of people who come here every day.

There's a problem with the server somewhere (CPU is being overutilized) that we're trying to fix.



As for raw traffic... HL Fallout is actually running on a better server than CSN at the moment (not to mention the server has previously stood up under actual slashdotting), so it's very unlikely that that's the issue.

pretty minor lol, i know my sites have been on the front page of csn for a while and it didn't even slow them down noticeably.. but for a site that's already slow and low on bandwidth it might mess it up.. i know that i go to csn multiple times a day and i'm sure many, many others do as well.
