CS: Source Release Imminent!!!

The questions I would like to see answered are:

• Are the Gold or Silver packages one-off payments or subscriptions? I could easily justify to myself buying a game outright, (even over Steam) but I'd be a lot more worried about a subscription-based payment.
  
  
  
  
• What are the choices for upgrading at a later date? I mean, until the release of DoD source or HL1 source (whenever that might happen?) the bronze package offers exactly the same as the Silver if you already own Valve's back catalogue...

I think I'll wait for the retail box, with the problems I've had before with Steam. Not to mention the fact most people I know will wait for the box, I don't want to be playing CS:S on my tod.

I'm guessing $40 for bronze, $60 for silver, $80 for gold. I just made up those numbers, however. I want real prices as much as you do. Probably more. Hopefully less. The prices, I mean.
