The immediate response was confusion and outrage. "We just didn't expect it to be dropped at the height of the game's popularity," Lee Trinrud, a veteran CPL Quake competitor remembers. "There was a lot of confusion, and many people became angered. The CPL and the Quake community had grown together, and FRAG 4 and Babbage's were great events.
