I think 'preloading' games (i.e. downloading entire games rather than buying retail versions) will become much more commonplace a few years from now, when broadband type connections are more ubiquitous and throughput improves (fiber to the home is already rolling out; maximum 30Mbs down, typical 5-15!)
I would only get a game using 'preloading' if it came to me as an image I could either mount ot burn off onto disc, but I know this will never legally happen because producers are in love with DRM and all it's children. So it's boxed copies for me.
Oh yeah, and Half-Life 3 will be an identical release on Xbox2 and PC's with Xbox2 compliant level hardware, and Live enabled. You read it here first.Comment
