Half-Life 2: Collector's Edition

Well, HL2 comes with CS:S, and I was under the assumption that HL:S would be free, so you get a cheap tshirt and a strategy guide which you'll probably use like twice (cough free online walkthroughs cough) . All for only $25 extra!

Also, how do so many of you not have DVD players or DVD-ROMs? Get with the f*ing times! Holy stragglers, you can buy a DVD player for like $30, and DVD-ROMs are even cheaper. Time to scrap those 8-track players!

Another reason im buying box, becuase my C drive (which is where steam folder is in) is full, and when i install HL2, i want to install it to another drive.. but when i preload, it will save into my C drive, which i dont want

What are you talking about, when you install it by cd, it will install it into your steam folder. When you preload it, it will install to your steam folder. So if you want to save disk space, you'll have to move your steam folder.

No dude, HL2 will be a seperate game. steam will just short cut to it.

Who told you this? From what I hear, half-life 2 will be run by steam, and in order for it to be run by steam you MUST have half-life 2 in steam/steamapps/name@email.com/.

XL is NEVER longer than L. It is ONLY wider. If you want taller you have to get LT or XLT.



You can also get MT (medium tall) sometimes, which might fit better than LT (and definitely better than XL) if you are thin.

You can put the files wherever you want, just make a shortcut on the desktop and change the target to the folder that HL2 is in.

I expect HL:S will be nothing special, and if you MUST have it, I don't think there's any legalities that can keep someone from distributing the game for free with a different name.
