I've been a little patient with Steam, since it is a new way of delivering content and updates. I'm sure more than one person remembers having problems finding websites with good download speeds and having the patch available. I applaud them from trying to bring this all in house, but I have ask myself - What's the point of offline mode if it needs a 'net connection? I've also noticed that Steam seems to eat a lot of system resources, even on my 1.8gHz/1GB mem system. My conclusion - Steam needs to be revamped. Hardcore.
