This is nice...I really wish they'd fix the skywalking though.

They're more focused on making sure the Source engine is stable before HL2/CS: Source actually do go Gold. I'd rather there be a stable game that will result in less comments like "THIS GAME DOESN'T WORK, OMGZ U SUX0RZ VALVE!"

Skywalking is actually pretty minor as it's just localized (so far) to de_dust and CS: Source. The Source engine however, is used in quite a few upcoming games.

Ok what i said wasn't in the do not section of the rules.

Anyway not that big of an update...Wish they'd fix the skywalking and tweaked up the performance. And maybe a new map *cough* aztec *cough*

wish they'd fix the memory error also

Skywalking is actually just a matter of fixing the walls of dust, its a map problem isn't it?

Yeah they had a more severe case of skywalking at the cafes...They just made the wall higher and put an invisible wall on top.

              the changelog included "modified DE_DUST"

The crash that was fixed would give you a memory exception error...

Oh yeah don't get me wrong, the crashing/engine issues should obviously be the main priority...I just think it would be nice for them to toss a skywalking fix into an update if they have time. It's greatly affecting my enjoyment of the game.

Is anybody detecting a decrease in performance after installing Service Pack 2 for WinXP, or is it all in my head?

who cares about the skywalking. fix the aim/netcode so the game can go gold. period. and of course not crash...

Really? I got crashes at sending client info 75% of the time. Didn't know that was caused by physics

We don't want to release a large update such as a .bsp recompile on a weekend.

                            Also, updated the wording:

Fixed crash (memory exception error) caused by physics props
