by the time hl3 comes out WW3 will be over, california annhilated, and steam no-more. now whos the stupid one! (ps no valve still exists because they moved their offices to the moon but steam stayed to reduce lag, so NYAH!.)

Now althought this post says otherwise, you CAN buy cd and still benefit from this prelaod. If Steam works the way it should, you can just plug in the cd-key and dl it. (I asked Gabe himself, so its true) Then you can have an almost brand new, only opened 1 Half-Life 2 cd in your collection. Yay. ^.^

I couldn't care less if I have a box or not. It's just another object/piece of garbage in my house that'll take up space and eventually get in the way. Plus, you get it immediately on release. Hopefully some other developers see the sense in the use of this program.

I'm going to preload the game and buy the boxed copy. I'm pretty sure you can preload without having to buy the game. I'll just cooly insert the cd key and I'll be ready to play in seconds.
