Bah, T's will have more time to plan the assault, but so little time to implement it it's going to come down more to individual DM skills than strategy in the end.

I myself would base the greater skilled team based on more then just who shoots better, probably the biggest influence to me on what makes a team good would be their strats and execution of their strats. If 1:45 is going to make strats less of an influence on the game because many of them will be harded to execute given the less time then maybe we should think about fy_iceworld and possibly opening a 1v1 league for it.

doubtful there are any statisticians amongst the geeks that are in CAL.
This is a case where some statistics would come in handy... I mean, round time averages, weapon use patterns and allocation of points according to round number would probably help but these changes into perspective.Comment

While the number of rounds per half has increased, the theoretical maximum time for a half to be completed has actually decreased. The CPL is trying to speed up competitive Counter-Strike play through these changes.
Not sure.
Teams will make use of these 1:45 more then it was with 2:30
I mean if avg round duration was 2:00 before and now it will be 1:30 then the half duration will remain sameComment

shut the fuck up you dumb ass, these changes sucks so shut up, dont talk
Anyway, I like the changes. Before I thought it was a bit lame how basically if one team won the first two rounds, they then basically had the game dominated. These changes take less pressure off of the first couple of rounds, which I think is good. As for the shorter round time I think that's a much needed change. Looking at a lot of 'pro' matches, for the first half of the round they'll often just camp once they get into position, then only go into action for the last minute or so. I think the changes to the round timer will help a lot as instead of being able to spend a couple of mitues getting into position, teams will have to react faster and get a move on.
I think overall, these are very good changes.Comment
