Err, source is the pink one. Only on the M4A1 standing still is it slightly higher, the rest it is lower.

yes very good read...
bert, it still gets very big and comes back together slowly and in "phases" with cl_dynamiccrosshair 0. At first this was the only thing that would mess me up because I would be bursting and the xhair would get huge and I'd end up spraying or just messing my timing up by a lot. Once I realized that the recoil was really the same, shooting walls on a lan server, I then had a much easier time killing peeople even while the xhair was still big and spread aprt.Comment

cl_dynmaiccrosshair 0 only turns off crosshair expansion/contraction due to player movement. This is for both 1.6 and Source. When full autoing, the crosshair will still expand. In Source, the crosshairs contract much slower than they do in 1.6. It also seemed to me that they are much more animated (ie, smooth) than in 1.6.Comment

In CS: Source, your crosshair does not smoothly transition back to its original size, instead it seems to shrink back in phases, one size at a time. This process takes a couple seconds longer than CS 1.6, making recoil harder to control.
Thats quite a dramatic change considering players tend to fir in small bursts rather than the 15 shot bursts valce have demonstrated. Its certainly a bigger change than differing recoil patternsComment

Maybe that's what i noticed because i found it a little bit diffent to do a 3 round burst with the m4.
The ROF has increased marginally due to fixed timing code, Martin says. If you look at the numbers, it seems you can only fire just a tad bit faster. Like a full 30 rounds in the time it used to take for 29.[CyW]-=BigBear=- wrote..
