Not being able to shoot when being the booster is a great idea. I support it 100%. Normal fire delays should apply to those jumping off the boosters back to whatever. Get over it.



Zero aim when getting shot? Why not? Reminds me of a moment in Doom3 last night when a boss knocked the shit out of me and my BFG round went damn near straight up in the air when I got hit instead of toward my target (even as large as it was, huge...). The impact effects in games made THIS century are ALL that way. FarCry, Doom3, etc. When I got hit in Doom3, I FELT like I was getting bitch slapped. It will turn your ass around. It's a damn cool effect and should be there. Get over it.



Oh, and I, as well as most players, don't give a flying fuck what 'pro' players think. 'Pro Gamer' is a fucking oxymoron.



And jumping awp shots that land are purely fucking idiotic regardless of what rabbit-ass lame piss-poor excuse you try to come up with. You all have the right to shut the fuck up.

One other point. A flash grenade WILL BLIND YOU IF IT DETONATES IN YOUR PROXIMITY... PERIOD. Ask anyone with military service in their past. The effect is cool as shit in FarCry, it will most likely be very very smilar in CS:S. Pretty damn realistic and nice.



Sad how all these innovations have already come and gone and HL2/CS:S still isn't out.



And FarCry kicked Doom3's ass (even though it was damn good). It's all been done before. FarCry was something TRULY new and absolutely gorgeous. No pre-release hype bullshit, no endless budget, just damn fine German engineering.

In all seriousness, I think most people have their moments of immaturity. I know a quick scan of the steampowered.com forums would reveal a couple of times where I've unfairly laced into someone.



For the most part, though, it's not too tough to discuss ideas rationally, and examining all sides of an issue. Ninety-nine percent of the things people fight about are matters of personal taste anyway, like the realism debate. There are no actual right answers.

Instead of asking someone in the military (do most branches of the military even use flashbangs?), let's use logical reasoning to figure out why a flashbang exploding behind you would not blind you.



The light would have to come in contact with your eyes to have any effect, right? If you have your back to the flashbang when it explodes, the light would hit the back of your head and not your eyes. If there was like.. mirrors or very reflective tiles in front of you, the light COULD bounce off and end up blinding you anyway. But like I said, in places like the setting of dust, on most surfaces, you wouldn't be blinded if your back was to the flashbang.



Now explain to me why it would blind you.
