CS: Source in Cafes

yea I know, I'm not complaing about the fps with the 9000's... I wish I could upgrade them but I can't. Just wanted to post and give you an idea of what my 2 types of setups were running for fps.

I hope your right, because I have the same system only a 9600 pro. I'll be pissed if it barely runs. After all, valve did brag ALOT about working best with ATI. After all that bragging and crap I expect it to be smooth (30+ fps) on high settings and 1024x768 res, no matter how much activity is on screen.



BTW, I'd like to see a screen of cs:s on a 9000 pro.

Radeon 9000 Pro = DX8.1 card, modified RV250

Radeon 9600 Pro = DX9 card, RV350



Your Radeon 9600 Pro should be able to push decent framerates...better fps than the LAN config told by that other guy.

my pc will blow it away, amd 3500+ athlon 64 socket 939, ati 9800xt 256mb, 512pc3200 ddr ram geil, one sexy ass lcd screen, sound blaster audigy2 zs. i think ill be pushin good fps on ultra high with atleast 2aa and 8af or even higher

Ok let's hear it buddy. What makes it any different than 1.6 besides various graphical improvements and the shield taken out? Last I heard cs:s IS 1.6 just ported to source...
