Yeah I know that... I'm not stupid... I'm saying there are stuff to block DoS and DDoS attacks on Linux aleast... My Linux box has scripts that if a DDoS or DoS attack happens, it will take down the services or what ever it hit or attacked, shutdown the server for 1 hour, then restart it's self, its also working with Wake On LAN, thats how I keep my server running a lot better now... But still DDOS, is gay...

Zombie machines DDoS'ing something isn't a one-hour thing. For example my home box was DDoS'd for three weeks thru some sort of process exploit. I of course blocked the exploit itself in about 15 minutes (it was kinda hard to block it because at first I didn't know what caused it) but every now and then I checked my firewall and noticed that there's still lot of those packets coming in. I actually got bored and DoS'd one of the zombie boxes to oblivion :P

hmm now when I try to play DoD I get "this game is currenty unavailable" and when I try CS it says that I need to install it again
