So let me get this straight...
    ORDER 2-..

...Plaintiff may recover any general damages for breach of the 2001 Agreement....
Valve won the case and can claim their money back.
    ORDER 3-..

...Plaintiff may not recover "special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages of any nature,"...

...In the event Defendants' bad faith is established at trial, the limitation of liability provision contained in the 2001 Agreement may not be applicable.
But they can't take VUG to the cleaners, unless they act in bad faith (i.e. by not paying up.)

    Is that correct?

I think it means they can't take VUG to the cleaners at the moment as the judge could not decide if VUG deliberately broke the law to screw Valve, or it was all just a horrible misunderstanding (yeah right lol). So thats what the trial will decide.

        Bit late for that tbh.
wake up people have been saying this since the beginning.

Monthly fees and Steam suck (well ok Steam is a neccesary evil).

It didn't even go to trial! I don't know about Vivendi's claims against Valve, but Valve has at least a single clear victory on their hands. Good for them.

People seem confused about this. There are actually 2 lawsuits going on here:

Valve vs Vivendi (Cyber Cafe Licencing)

Vivendi vs Valve (Steam - breach of publisher contract)

Only the first has taken place.

It's a bit late because he was saying "LONG LIVE WON", and if you havn't noticed.. WON didn't make it.

What monthly fee are you paying?

It means Valve get a fat cheque off Viv for wasting their time.
Pwned... And it helped us why? Maybe now they will be able to spent more time creating CS:S maps then bitching about their copyrights with VU... But good news all around. Awsome, go Valve you get more money and make VU look like the bad guys again
