    The Verdict is In

    The new news at Steampowered.com states that Valve won their case against Vivendi Universal. The case dealt with copyright infringement over the illegal issuing of Cyber Café licenses.
    Valve today announced the U.S. Federal District Court in Seattle, WA granted its motion for summary judgment on the matters of Cyber Café Rights and Contractual Limitation of Liability in its copyright infringement suit with Sierra/Vivendi Universal Games. Click here to read the judge's order.

                            although, it is bullshit for valve to sell stuff without a publisher after signing a contract w/ vivendi.



                            then again, the contract probably said they'd seek no other publisher. since steam is technically a lack of publishing, they can get away with it.

                              either way, i think it is improper for valve to go "Valve Wins Summary Judgment Motions in Copyright Infringement Case" to me that is bragging.
