anyone else think that xfire thing is a load of dog shit? I mean cmon, I joined a game of CS (using the xfire client) one I got ingame I was jerking all over the place..... i go to task manager and see xfire using up 25% of my cpu resources. I mean im no programmer but wouldnt you think that they would make a program that uses the least amount of resources as possible to not ruin your game?

if your're thinking of trying xfire, dont its a cpu hog.

You know just because most of the kids here download skins and play cs for fun, doesn't mean that we all suck. I've scrimmed against 2 real cal-i teams in the past year, big deal.

huh, I use it and I experience no lag whatsoever. When exfire runs it takes 3MB of memory and it takes less CPU then MSN and Firefox. So I think your computer either really sucks, or you have some horrible spy ware. You might want to get that checked out.

These events are usually a good time and in my opinion they are well worth the few seconds it takes to add "team3d2" to your Xfire friends list.

For those of you who are Xfire skeptics, I strongly encourage you to try it out. They recently added a whole bunch of new functionality including server lists, game patch and file downloads torrent style (peer to peer), and IN GAME chat on top of the one click join stuff. The in game chat stuff is particularly cool because you can IM people back and forth while in game without having your game slow down or crash- it's really cool.

And for the one poor soul who claims to have had 25% of his system resources eaten up by Xfire, I say we all chip in and get him off of his old 400 MHZ PC so he can enjoy HL2 ;p. JK, but that is a weird problem, maybe you should post on their forums for help because it doesn't do it for any of the other hundreds of thousands of users.

Well, I hope to see some of you on Sunday during the event. Until then, feel free to IM me on Xfire (3dtorbull)

What can you learn from a private CS lesson? I'm just wondering. Sounds interesting.

                    Pretty cool event they're holding.

Hey, if you're going to chip in to get someone off a P2 400 MHz, get me a better processor. At least I'm not offensive!

Seriously though, I downloaded Xfire just to see it, and it looks cool...but there's a fatal flaw...I don't have any gaming friends to IM with. *shrug*

Yeah, I like xfire. I have been using it for a while now and like the in game messaging its really useful for cross game messaging. I participated in the last play team3d event and it was pretty fun. I tried adding you on xfire but I guess theres tons of people who add you also it says too many invitations.

oh and what a silly concept... Play w/ 3D, with online lessons? please.... obtain your own skill, silly!
So having the first comment on a website isn't a silly concept, but playing with a top team or recieving lessons from them for a game that requires a vast amount of skill to compete at the top.. is?
