I thought that it could be dod:source, however they haven't shown a single picture (or at least I've never seen one) of dod:s. Most likely they'll start showing us pictures before the release date and unless they do so this week, I doubt the surprise is dod:s.

I would expect the surprise to be HL2 Deathmatch, or perhaps a Source conversion of TFC.



I would happily accept Source compatibility for VAC.

You can check if the patch has already been installed by looking for the command mat_forcemanagedtextureintohardware in your console.



It is a very small update, I didn't even notice steam updating anything.



Edit: Also, if they were to give away the ATI levels then it would only be a surprise for those part of the privileged few who have a high-end ATI card community.
