CS: Source BETA Test Date

Half-Life2.net reports that the folks over at Half-Life Portal has received word from Gabe Newell concerning the Counter-Strike: Source BETA test date for Condition Zero owners via e-mail.

August 10th is the day for CZ owners (it will start pre-loading on the 5th).

longer than i wanted to wait... Valve never makes an absolute date so whatch out...

Ya.. I bet there gonna say HL2 will be released September 12th.. But then get pushed back for holiday release.. September, thats almost 1 year sence valve was hacked.. They said it'd take 4 months to replace not a year.. I personally think if the code wasn't stolen we'd still be waiting for HL2... my opinion though...

there is no doubt wed still wait. yea, it did take a good bit of time to change things that happened as of the leak, but there is no way they would have even made their spring deadline. my guess is holiday season. we arent making summer...

So long as we're being bothered to post news stories based off of emails. There was an email saying there were nearly 16 days left on the bug fixing and finding process at Valve. Once that period is over, the game will be ready for RC status at least in Valve's eyes.



Again... just as the main news post is based off an email, so is this one. It's around the HL2.net forums somewhere.

The 28th is probably the Cyber Cafe release date. You all already knew they were going to get the game first.

I don't understand how it can only be 300mb isn't this based on the hl2 platform so wouldn't we need to download that also? What exactly are we downloading?
