    AMX Mod X Upcoming Release

AMX Mod X is preparing for a big release! AMX Mod X 0.20 will go public on August 7th and features some big changes. There will be a number of optimizations, more functionality, drastic improvements for developers, and bug fixes.
This release is huge and breaks many old ties with the AMX Mod 0.9.6j source base. The entire module implementation has been redone from scratch as well as many core internal interfaces. We are announcing the release early to give the public a "head's up" on what is going to change and to alert developers to necessary plugin changes. As of 0.20, the AMX Mod X Core has greatly surpassed the original AMX core in functionality and efficiency.
You can read up on the many changes, as well as offer your final suggestions at the AMX Mod X website.

#1, uh no - depends on the mod and the server quality.

Also, the AMXX link at the end is broken.

many thanks to the amx-x peeps who have kept developing the project after amx stopped. without them we'd be stuck with ever less functional versions of amx or adminmod =\
