The Cyberathlete Professional League has revealed more information regarding their upcoming CPL World Tour, a $1,000,000 tournament that will only feature one game in a one versus one format (read: no Counter-Strike).
The CPL announced today that it has selected the ten country partners that will host stops for next year's $1,000,000 CPL World Tour™. The ten stops will be announced at this summer's Cyberathlete® Extreme World Championships and all partners will be introduced to the members of the press attending the event. This is certainly a very bold step of action taken by the CPL, as Counter-Strike has been the prime choice for the majority of their tournaments since 2001. Moving along, the distribution of the cash prizes will be detailed next week, as stated from their official press release.
The CPL will also host other tournaments beyond the $1,000,000 World Tour during 2005.
