    This isnt good news.

Even with that... I don't think it will be so bad. When there's a big CS update then it's usually overloaded but only because of the number of users that game has. Combining CS1.5 users with the number of CZ users is still totally less users then all of CS1.6 (Or close to it, I don't care about actual numbers). So it could be alright.

Shouldn't be too much of a problem. If you read most of the posts from the "WON Shutdown" forum, most of the die-hard WON 1.5 users have no interest in 1.6 or Steam.

What's more is.... that was a sizable update yesterday and nary a glitch.

Granted, it wasn't nearly as big as what is forthcoming but far less people will be getting it.

3 years ago thousands of people would be trying to DL from a handful of servers to get the latest CS update. It took a week back then for everyone to get up to speed.

What's really funny is....people pay companies like FilePlanet just to get faster DL's. I bet some of those same people are slamming Valve for actually charging money for CZ. Wierd.

When the flying f*ck will the price on CZ be reduced to $20!?!?!?!??!? Seriously its not like anyone would really want to buy the game other than to play Source except for maybe the really die-hard CS fans.
just go to gamestop, amazon.com, or ebay and buy a used copy. =P

edit: hmm, I guess there could end up being a cd key conflict if the person didnt uninstall it and still plays.

Why did Valve opt for a closed BETA for CS: Source rather than an open, public BETA?
